Enzo Tedeschi

Enzo Tedeschi is a prolific and versatile award-winning Australian filmmaker known for his bold approaches to storytelling, emerging media and digital content.

 

Enzo first made his mark with viral horror film sensation The Tunnel (2011) as a Writer / Producer. This projects out-of-the-box approach to funding and distribution saw it hit international cinema screens despite being crowdfunded and simultaneously given away for free online before streaming was part of viewer lexicon. The film reached a global audience of over 25 million, and garnered Enzo and producing partner Julian Harvey the Screen Producers Association of Australia Award for Breakthrough Independent Producers of the Year.

 

In 2015, Enzo co-wrote and co-produced Airlock; a sci-fi web series that premiered on SyFy Channel. Enzo was also a creator/segment director of A Night of Horror Volume 1, the first installment of the anthology feature franchise born out of the long-running Sydney horror film festival of the same name, starring Bianca Bradey (Wyrmwood, Rendel).

 

Enzo made his theatrical feature debut as a Director with Event Zero in 2017.

 

Most recently, Enzo was the Creator & Showrunner of the Shudder Original Series Deadhouse Dark, which showcased some of Australia’s most promising up-and-coming writers and directors. 2022 will see the release of The Tunnel: The Other Side of Darkness; a feature documentary revisiting behind-the-scenes from The Tunnel and insights into the impact this film had on the Australian film industry.

 

Currently, Enzo is producing and directing a documentary series of 1 hour episodes titled Founder, which profiles some of Australia’s leading tech company founders including Canva and Finder, and is set to co-write and direct “Unknown Filter” a Youtube series for the Screen Australia Skip Ahead Program due for Halloween 2022 release.
